Central Florida’s Behavioral Health Network, Inc. (CFBHN) is one of the leading behavioral health managing entities in the state of Florida, covering 14 counties. Contracted with the Department of Children and Family, we provide oversite to providers in central Florida who serve in the mental health and substance abuse field in all types of settings, including school and community settings. The Contract Specialist is responsible for the execution of assigned contracts and assuring contract compliance throughout the term of the contract.

Essential Job Functions
- Manage assigned subcontracts, including writing and amending subcontracts. Review, track, and ensure contract deliverables are submitted according to contractual requirements.
- Monitor and track performance and self-reporting performance measures.
- Provide internal and external technical assistance related to the contracts, and answer questions as needed.
- Process budget amendments in contract and finance systems (Carisk & BATS) as needed.
- Obtain, review, and monitor provider reports, insurance certificates, licenses, and accreditations.
- Ensure required documents are on file and updated (as needed) for assigned subcontractors.
- Run reports to balance funding in BATS & Carisk.
- Update other reports as required.
- Contribute to the contract training manual and training materials to improve departmental processes.
- Organize and host provider orientations and training to review contract requirements and technical navigation through system portals.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to respond to inquiries related to both CFBHN’s master contract and provider subcontracts.
- Provide contract updates to stakeholders on Regional Council calls.
- Issue, monitor and track status of Performance Improvement Plans and Corrective Action Plans to providers who are out of compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or a combination of education and contract management experience
- Experience working in not-for-profit behavioral health environment a plus
- Good skills in contract/subcontract management
- Understanding of funder and subcontractor services, client data and billing processes
- Knowledge of applicable laws, rules and regulations
- Representing CFBHN in the community
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize meeting deadlines
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suits the position
- Ability to travel as required by the position
