Job Description:
The Central Florida Cancer Institute is looking for a dynamic, friendly individual for a front office position-
Duties And Responsibilities:
- The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned.
- Greets, receives, and prepares patients for appointments/procedures with compassion,courtesy ,and respect..
- Receives , screens, and directs telephone calls..
- Maintains office and patient records.
- Participates in quality improvement and utilization review activities.
- Adjusts to fluctuating peaks in patient flow and other operational demands while maintaining quality.
- Ensures work space is organized
- Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Must possess good follow up and personal skills.
- Demonstrated competence in reacting to and handling emergencies.
- Strong charting/documentation skills.
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all educational levels and from various diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and changing workflow..
- Bi-lingual(English/Spanish)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
