Job Description:
The Therapy Technician II will play a critical role in supporting the health and well-being of our residents. They will work closely with the Director of Nursing and other healthcare professionals to coordinate medical appointments, manage medication, and provide emotional support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport clients to medical appointments, ensuring their safety and comfort during transportation.
- Document resident information accurately and efficiently, using software such as Therap.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure residents have access to necessary adaptive and medical equipment.
- Collaborate with the Physical Therapist to inspect and maintain therapeutic equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to promote a positive and respectful environment.
- Maintain accurate records of resident weight, height, and other relevant health metrics.
Working Conditions:
The Therapy Technician II will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean workspace.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and hold a valid Florida drivers license and acceptable driving record.
- 2 years of experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities.
- Preferred Qualifications: 4 year degree from an accredited school.
