Job Summary:
We are seeking a Therapy Technician II to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing vital around-the-clock care to our residents, including nursing and medical oversight. They will also coordinate medical appointments, execute clerical duties, and conduct inventory checks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and transport clients to medical appointments, collaborating with the Director of Nursing for scheduling, and ensuring their safety and comfort during transportation.
- Execute assigned clerical and organizational duties with precision, ensuring accurate and timely documentation in Therap.
- Conduct inventory checks to ensure residents are equipped with necessary adaptive and medical equipment for transportation and handle all equipment appropriately.
- Assist Physical Therapist with inspection of therapeutic equipment which may include but is not limited to wheelchairs, shower chairs and other positioning equipment.
- Monitor and ensure all residents weights are accurately taken and recorded monthly and as needed. Ensure weights are available to team members for monthly weight meeting.
- Notify parents and legal guardians of upcoming doctor appointments in a timely manner, ensuring they are informed well before the visits.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; adhering to infection-control policies and protocols when working directly with the residents.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and hold a valid Florida drivers license and acceptable driving record.
- 2 years of experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities.
- Preferred Qualifications: 4 year degree from an accredited school.
