What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant/Technician position at Central Florida Community Pet Clinic?
We are looking for a responsible and reliable multitasker for our nonprofit, high volume, low cost spay/neuter/wellness clinic. One year of veterinary experience is required. Must not be afraid of dogs or cats, and must show compassion to all of our patients. If you don’t like cats, this isn’t the job for you.
Responsibilities include checking in 30 patients per day, prepping for surgery, monitoring while they are under anesthesia and during recovery, assisting with wellness, discharging patients and going over home care instructions at pickup time.
Schedule is Tuesday-Thursday from 7:45am until all patients have gone home and cleaning is finished, usually no later than 5pm. Occasional Mondays. Weekends off. Employee discount after 90 days. Pay based on experience with a potential raise after 30-90 days. Drug-free, smoke-free hospital.
