Title: Warehouse/Put Away Worker
Reports To: Senior Warehouse Coordinator/Warehouse Manager
Work Schedule: 7-3:30pm, M-Fri; OT required during peak season.
The Warehouse/Put-Away Worker is responsible for efficiently receiving product from production, organizing, and storing of the materials in a warehouse environment. Additional duties may include assisting in the staging and loading process of outbound shipments. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that finished goods are properly stored in their designated locations to support the shipping process. The worker will follow company protocols to handle, store, and maintain inventory.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Receive finished goods from production, and stage them in the warehouse.
- Push or pull finished goods carts safely to the correct location in the warehouse or staging area.
- Accurately store materials in designated storage areas, racks, or bins, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Safely load, unload, and secure carts on the transfer trailers.
- Pick and prepare materials and products for shipping. Ensure that orders are complete, accurate, and ready for delivery in a timely manner, including labeling and scanning.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
- Other duties as requested, including general housekeeping of plant/warehouse
Required Skills:
- High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in staging, storing, and shipping materials and products.
- Strong organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain an orderly warehouse environment.
- Understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to warehouse operations and material handling.
- Effective verbal communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting to management.
- Comfortable using dock plates, carts and ladders up to 18 feet tall.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to sit, bend, twist, stoop, stand and walk for at least 3 hours at a stretch, over an 8 or 10-hour shift, with 15-minute breaks.
- Must be able to work in varying temperature conditions.
