Director of Warehouse Operations (Covington, GA)
Our Garden Segment is hiring a Director of Warehouse Operations at our Covington, GA location. This position will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless and efficient functioning of a Regional Fulfillment Center, responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance safety, streamline operations, and maximize overall performance. This role will be instrumental in aligning our warehouse operations with the company's overall objectives. Reporting to Vice President, Warehouse Operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Champion a culture of safety-first throughout all warehouse facilities, prioritizing the well-being of employees and the security of products
- Utilize analytics and data-driven insights to make informed decisions, optimizing resource allocation, inventory management, and process improvements
- Develop and implement operational strategies that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and on-time delivery, while minimizing costs
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancement, automation, and cost reduction, and fostering a mindset of innovation and adaptation
- Set clear KPIs and performance targets for each facility and regularly evaluate progress to ensure that goals are met or exceeded
- Build and lead a high-performing team of warehouse operations managers and staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to drive excellence
- Ensure that all warehouse operations adhere to regulatory requirements, including safety standards, environmental regulations, and labor laws
- Own the budget for warehouse operations, ensuring cost control and resource allocation are in line with organizational goals
- Maintain clear and open communication with executives and other departments, providing regular reports on warehouse performance and initiatives
