Title : Distribution Center / Warehouse Associate
Reports To : Distribution Center Manager / Warehouse Manager
Work Schedule : 7-3 : 30pm, M-Fri; OT required during peak season.
The Distribution Center Equipment Operator is responsible for operating material handling equipment, primarily stand-up forklifts, to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods throughout the distribution center. The operator must maintain high safety standards while working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Safely operate stand-up forklifts, reach trucks, and other equipment to move, stack, and organize products within the distribution center.
- Retrieve and put away items according to inventory system instructions, keeping accurate records of product locations.
- Efficiently load and unload trucks. Ensure the accurate and timely handling of materials in designated storage areas, racks, or bins, including picking, packing, wrapping, labeling, scanning, and staging products for shipping or distribution.
- Inspect goods for damage and ensure they meet quality standards before and after transport.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols, including pre-operation inspections, safe driving, and reporting of any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions.
- Work closely with warehouse and distribution teams to maintain efficient workflows and meet operational deadlines.
- Other duties as requested, including supporting warehouse operations and general housekeeping of warehouse.
