Job Summary

Green Garden Products, a subsidiary of Central Garden & Pet, has an opening for a Mechanical Equipment Repair Professional in our Norton, MA facility. This non-exempt, full-time position involves ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment by completing routine maintenance tasks and troubleshooting malfunctions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular equipment inspections to identify potential issues and perform preventive maintenance as needed.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical problems with machines and equipment using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and track inventory levels.
• Stay up-to-date with manufacturer instructions and engineering specifications for all equipment.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in equipment maintenance or a related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in a comparable area preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
