SHIPPING CLERK | 1st Shift
Primary Responsibilities:
- Routing trucks in the customer specific portals
- Breaking down orders once they are released
- Printing shipping labels
- Scheduling appointments with carriers
- Invoicing trucks
- Managing/filing paperwork into the system
- Maintain accurate driver logs
- Scheduling Misc. small package orders
- Assist with inventory accuracy
- Communicate cycle count requests to warehouse personnel
- Keep warehouse informed of outbound shipments and FG needs
- Maintain communication with various involved in the shipping process
- Leverage visual aids
- Continuously stay up to date throughout the workday
- Keep work area safe and participate in the cleanup and 5S Daily Housekeeping in warehouse throughout the day and at end of shift. Sweep/clean up areas before leaving each day.
- Supports and follows company policies and procedures.
- Great attention to detail and ability to focus on the task at hand.
- Ability to cross train and take on other positions within the department when needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Organizational skills dealing with multiple carriers, orders, etc.
- Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Great problem-solving ability
- Ability to use ERP systems (SAP)
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office suite application and Windows based Operating Systems
- Applicable job experience and knowledge desired
- Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred
- Ability to learn and understand the quality level involved in the department’s day-to-day tasks.
- Ability to perform assigned tasks in a timely manner
Requirements:
- Ability to lift >50 lbs., walk, stand, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, climb, carry, sit for prolonged periods of time
- Must be available to work flexible hours such 8 to 12 hours shift Monday – Friday.
- Mandatory overtime on occasion.
- Able to be here on time and every day.
