Job Description:
Central Georgia Vascular Solutions is seeking a reliable, motivated, and experienced Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team at our Vascular Office-Based Lab in Macon, GA. As a key part of our team, you will assist in providing high-quality care to our patients while contributing to the smooth operation of our busy vascular practice.
Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare providers during patient consultations, exams, and treatments in a vascular office setting.
- Perform routine clinical duties including taking patient vitals, preparing patients for examinations, and administering injections as directed.
- Handle medical scheduling and patient flow management to ensure smooth office operations.
- Assist with prior authorization and insurance verification processes for procedures and tests.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Provide patient education on vascular health and post-procedural care instructions.
- Assist with lab tests, equipment setup, and maintenance for procedures.
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure a collaborative and efficient office environment.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in prior authorization processes.
- Vascular experience or familiarity with vascular procedures is highly preferred.
- Medical office scheduling and patient coordination experience.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining patient care standards.
- Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR/EMR) systems.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
Schedule:
- Part-Time or PRN hours available (flexible scheduling).
- Some evening availability may be required.
- NO weekends or holidays.
