Central Healthcare of Le Center, is looking for an energetic professional to join our team.
We are a community Nursing facility and take great pride in the care we provide to our residents.
Job Summary: Employee will assist the Therapeutic Recreational Director in executing the residents’ activity program. Assists the Activity Director in maintaining a program
of therapeutic, recreational and social activities for residents and to assist in
directing, implementing and recording various activities. Reports residents’
progress to Activity Director.
Hours:
apprx 40-50 hours in a 2 week period, part-time day hours, every other weekend
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Plan and implement activities to meet the needs and interests of the
resident population.
2. Utilize time management skills for planning and implementing programs.
3. Attends in-service training
4. Follows the company policies and procedures.
5. Report any incidents or resident concerns to supervisor as soon as
possible.
6. Recognizes abnormal signs and symptoms which signify a physical
change in resident’s condition which would, require nursing intervention.
7. Suggest activities based upon the current resident population.
8. Must exhibit the ability to give instructions to others and to lead groups.
9. Performs other related duties as directed by Activity Director.
10. Encourage and maintain community activities.
Requirements:
- Good written and oral skills
- Good interpersonal skills to interact with staff, families, residents,
volunteers and community groups.
- Knowledge of computers (Word, Print Shop)
- Good time management skills.
- Creative skill and the ability to adapt to various situations within the facility.
- Flexible hours to include weekends, evenings, days and fill in when
needed.
- Ability to physically push and pull wheelchairs.
