What are the responsibilities and job description for the Girls Junior Varsity and Senior Varsity Assistant Coach Girls Volleyball position at Central High School?
Title: Assistant Coach (Middle School, Junior High, High School)
Qualifications: Standard Arkansas Teaching License Coaching Endorsement, NFSH Certification or ALP Knowledge and background in assigned sport Ability to work under the direction of the Head Coach Commercial Drivers License preferred.
Reports to: Head Coach, Head Varsity Coach, Athletic Director
Supervises: Athletes and team assigned.
Job Goal: To carry out the aims and objectives of the sport as outlined by the Head Varsity Coach.
To provide instruction that when applied will lead to the formation of moral values, pride of accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline and self-confidence.
- Perform the duties that are assigned by the Athletic Director and Head Coach of the sport they coach.
(2) Display loyalty to the Head Coach, the Athletic Director, the school and the athletic program.
(3) Be familiar with the overall philosophy of the school district and the athletic program and strive at all times to meet those goals. They will follow the policies of the athletic department.
(4) Keep the health and welfare of the student athletes in mind at all times.
(5) Exercise concern in the care and condition of the athletic equipment.
- Make every effort to increase their knowledge of the sports they coach by attending clinics, meetings, and studying that sport.
- Strive to be the best classroom teacher they can be and have a good relationship with students, faculty, and staff.
(8) Be prompt and courteous at all times, and teach the same traits to the athletes.
(9) Perform any and all duties that the Athletic Director or Head Coach might require of them.
(10) Become familiar with and adhere to all AAA and district guidelines.
