What are the responsibilities and job description for the Office Administrator position at Central Home Medical Equipment?

Central Home Medical Equipment is in need of an Office Administrator! We are a family owned and operated team that is growing quickly right here in Avon Ohio! This position will be in charge of ensuring the daily operations of the company run smoothly.

Responsibilities:
- Work with operations team to make sure that office is organized
- Maintain and update patient records in accordance with medical coding guidelines
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes
- Coordinate with medical providers and insurance companies to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement
- Handle patient inquiries regarding insurance claims and billing issues
- Collaborate with the office team to ensure smooth operations of deliveries

- Answer phones and assist with customer inquires

- Assist walk in customers in the showroom

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a medical office
  • Familiarity with managed care and insurance billing practices
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining medical records
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Adept at multi-tasking, organizing, priority, and time management.
  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations.
  • Able to build productive relationships with all contacts.
  • Must have analytical skills to resolve simple to semi-complex problems.
  • Gathers additional clinical information, as necessary, in order to obtain authorization.
  • Documents all communication with insurance companies, third party payers, and staff.

Your expertise in insurance verification, medical coding, and office administration will contribute to the smooth operations of the practice. You will be responsible for verifying insurance coverage, maintaining accurate patient records, and assisting with medical coding and billing processes. Your attention to detail and strong communication skills will be essential in coordinating with medical providers, insurance companies, and patients to ensure accurate reimbursement and resolve any billing issues.

The ability to maintain accurate medical records and handle patient inquiries regarding insurance claims is crucial. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effective collaboration with the office team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
