The Central Islip Soccer Club, a nonprofit organization, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Youth Soccer Coach to inspire and develop young players.
Responsibilities
- Design and lead engaging training sessions.
- Teach fundamental soccer techniques and strategies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
- Attend games, tournaments, and events.
- Communicate effectively with parents and team members.
- Be reliable, punctual, and available for evening practices (5:30 PM–9:00 PM, Monday–Friday) and weekend games.
- Complete all league requirements, including a background check, SafeSport training, and grassroots certification.
Requirements
- Coaching experience: Prior experience is required, especially for competitive teams.
- Strong knowledge of soccer rules and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for helping young athletes grow and succeed.
- Coaching certification or a willingness to obtain one.
Job Details
- Position: Part-time, long-term.
- Teams: Openings available for multiple age groups (born 2007–2016), both competitive and recreational.
- Pay: $20–$40 per hour, based on experience. Competitive team sessions typically last 1.5 hours.
- Schedule: 4–10 sessions per week, including coaching one primary team and cross-training with other teams if experienced.
- Location: Must be dependable and able to commute to Central Islip.
