What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Start Behavioral Interventionist Coach position at Central Kentucky Community Action Council, Inc.?
JOB PURPOSE: The Behavior Interventionist Coach will work collaboratively with students’ educational teams and parents to develop and implement intervention strategies (positive behavior supports). The Behavior Interventionist Coach will work with educational staff to better understand the purpose and function of behaviors. This role will also help collect data needed to identify student needs and to help educational staff implement positive behavior supports.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Ensures quality care and education, disability, and positive behavior supports are provided by knowledgeable, prepared staff.
- Ensures quality services are delivered to families of children requiring behavioral interventions.
- Participates in collaborative leadership efforts for behavioral interventions.
- Ensures knowledge and expertise result in continuous improvement of efficient and effective behavioral health services.
- Makes sure that resources are maximized resulting in comprehensive services to children and families.
- Works to ensure that the Central Kentucky Head Start program continues to be a viable and productive entity.
- Works well with individuals of all cultures and socio-economic backgrounds.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, sit, and rise from the floor.
- Ability to reach with hands/arms and use hands to manipulate, handle, and feel objects.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Background check/drug screen.
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, special education, social work, psychology or related field (required).
- Master’s degree in related field (preferred).
- Full-time, Monday-Friday.
- Lebanon, KY (potentially flexible).
