JOB PURPOSE: The Social Emotional Manager ensures that mental health service delivery reflects the mission and vision of Central Kentucky Head Start early childhood education program and is in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

- Possesses knowledge and expertise which result in continuous improvement of efficient and effective mental health services.
- Ensure quality services are delivered to children and families.
- Ensure field staff acquire the skills and knowledge to provide quality services to children and families in the area of mental health.
- Ensures quality mental health services are continuously evaluated and improved.
- Sees that the Central Kentucky Head Start program continues to be a viable and productive entity.
- Certifies that resources are maximized, resulting in comprehensive services to children and families.
- Build positive relationships with staff, parents, children, and the community.
- Ensures actions and statements of staff, as a representative of the agency, promote and progress the agency mission.
- Ensures professional knowledge, skills, and attitudes are enhanced by the utilization of opportunities and resources available.
- Maintains confidentiality following agency policy and according to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Ensures responsibilities are carried out to a successful completion.
- Effectively uses all forms of communication to achieve desired results with children, parents, staff, and community.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Ability to meet all physical demands of the position.
- Possesses a valid First Aid/ CPR certification.
- Background check/drug screen required.
- Bachelor’s degree in special education, social work, psychology, or related field and at least two years of related experience required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
