Job Description
Activities related to college teaching and learning in the studio arts field, including but not limited to the duties listed below:
- Instructional planning, teaching, learning, and assessment of student performance in on-campus and in-person studio arts classes.
- Student recruitment, retention, and advising.
- Lab/climate maintenance.
- Maintenance of professional skills and credentials.
- Work closely with department to maintain and enhance curriculum and assess program outcomes.
- Participation in department meetings, coordination activities, curriculum development, and college-wide committees.
Salary Range:
$43,067-94,542 (commensurate with education and experience)
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree with a major in fine arts or
- Master's degree in any discipline/field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in art.
Preferred Qualification
- Demonstrate familiarity with and commitment to the mission and constituencies of a comprehensive community and technical college.
- Dedication to teaching and student learning providing quality education emphasizing college level standards.
- Commitment to studying, analyzing, and implementing learning strategies that will help students reach their education goals.
- Experience using teaching techniques that support diverse learning styles.
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of a wide variety of instructional technology for online and in-person course instruction.
