Job Description:
Budtenders are responsible for educating consumers about the effects, benefits, and overall experience of cannabis products. As a Budtender, you serve as an important guide for our patients who are using cannabis products. You will need to know how to tailor recommendations based on the patients’ needs. In addition, you will be responsible for developing customer relationships and ensuring our guest are treated like family. Prior to being promoted to a Budtender you will be subjected to a 2-4-week front of house probation period.
Duties and Responsibilities:
o Acting as the face of the dispensary, greeting customers
o Facilitating the sales and upselling
o Educating customers about a variety of cannabis products, including flower, edibles, and concentrates
o Staying up to date of new products, strains, changes in laws, and industry trends in order to provide the highest level of service to customers
o Weighing and packaging products as needed
o Providing recommendations on cannabis products based on customer requests
o Maintaining medical cannabis patient information and proper records in BioTrack
o Advising customers on proper safety measures to follow when consuming cannabis
o Verifying proper identification and paperwork from customers
o Assisting in various dispensary operations, including operating the cash register and maintaining hygienic conditions
o Closing and opening store based on security protocols
o Counting drawers at beginning and end of shift
o Counting product inventory
o Restocking shelves
o Work between 10hr-25hr per week
o knowledge of all Maine regulations
Experience & Abilities:
o Customers service oriented
o Ability to work in fast paced environment
o Problem solver & ability to adapt
o Microsoft Office programs
o Able to Stand for more than 6 hours per shift.
o Ability to lift up to 50-60lbs
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 18 per week
