Job Description
The role of the Patient Services Representative involves performing diversified coordination and participation in various duties associated with daily clinic preparation processes, patient identification, check-in/out, charge posting, cash management, and appointment scheduling.
You will provide customer service, distribute messages, and schedule ancillary services while ensuring accurate and complete patient accounts based on organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
This includes pre-registration and registration functions under guidance from the Practice Manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum one year of work experience in directly communicating and providing service to patients or public required; preferably in a healthcare-related field
- Prior medical office experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with data entry/keyboarding preferred
