Job Description:
The Patient Services Representative (PSR) plays a crucial role in the daily operations of our clinics. The PSR is responsible for coordinating various tasks associated with patient preparation, identification, check-in/out, charge posting, cash management, and appointment scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families
- Coordinate patient appointments, including scheduling tests and procedures
- Verify and update patient demographic information, eligibility, and transfers to registration
- Collect and post payments and balances on accounts
- Maintain accurate and complete patient accounts based on organization standards, policies, and procedures
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of experience in directly communicating and providing service to patients or public
- Prior medical office experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with data entry/keyboarding preferred
