The Opportunity
Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Speech Therapist to join the Lewiston Outpatient Therapy Services team!

The Opportunity
Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Speech Therapist to join the Lewiston Outpatient Therapy Services team!
What You'll Do
- Diagnoses speech/language or swallowing disorders/delays
- Provides intervention/consultations for patients who demonstrate disorders/delays in speech, language, communication and/or swallowing.
- Provides treatment and instruction to patients according to acceptable principles and practices of Speech/Language Therapy.
- Follows acceptable principles/practices of the American Speech Language Hearing Association.
- Provide care to patients in the acute and outpatient settings.
- Assist patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities
- Collaborate as a member of the healthcare team for the provision of comprehensive patient care.
- Consistent with training and competency review, provides care to Inpatient pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
- Maintains training and competency as applicable in regulatory requirements such as JCAHO (if applicable), and state and federal regulations and standards.
- Coordinate, delegate and supervise responsibilities assigned to assistants, aides, etc.
- Flexibility, organization and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism.
- Ability to identify and respectfully address psychosocial, cultural, ethnic and religious/spiritual needs of patients and their families.
- Ability to meet current documentation standards and policies in a timely fashion.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Current Maine Licensure in Speech Pathology.
- Obtain or eligible for Clinical Competence Certificate through the American Speech Language, Hearing Association.
- Current BCLS certification.
