Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:- Performs cash handling duties for pharmacy customers- Provides superlative customer service for all customers- Answers telephone and assists customers- Assists pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medication- Receives and stores incoming supplies- Completes data entry for customers including: patient information, drug, doctor, prescription, third party billing, DUR (Drug Utilization Review) screening, and other third party requirements- Orders, returns, and reconciles DSD and warehouse inventories- Participates in training and developing of new partnersREQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:- Typically requires 2-5 years of related experience- High school diploma (or equivalent)- 1-2 years experience as a pharmacy technician necessary- State Certification for Pharmacy Technicians05-2008
