In the role of Insurance Verification and Patient Services Specialist, you will be essential in managing patient interactions and ensuring accurate insurance verification processes. With a focus on effective communication and front desk management, you will contribute to a exceptional experience for our patients. The ideal candidate could fill a part time/full time position (32-40 hours). This position will include a combination of both "back office" work (non patient facing) and front office work. Training and workloads will be adjusted to the pace of the applicant and will progress to include:
- Insurance eligibility checking
- Register new patients via phone
- Scheduling appointments
- Conducting insurance authorizations
- Assisting in billing, addressing denied claims and collections
- Phone calls to insurance companies to gain information on benefits/coverage/claims
- Patient greeting/check in
- Collecting co-pay/patient payments
- Participation in meetings to improve office procedures.

Physical Requirements:
- Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person, over the computer/electronic device, and over the telephone.
- Speaking: Must be able to communicate clearly to patients in person, using computer/electronic devices, and over the telephone.
- Vision: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including visual examination of patients and reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
- Other: Requires frequent lifting and carrying items weighing up to 30 pounds unassisted, including assisting patients when required.
- Adequate physical ability including sufficient manual dexterity to perform mostly desk duties.
- Requires infrequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements (typing), standing, walking, sitting, with some light lifting (up to 10lbs required very infrequently) during a regular work shift.
