Position Summary
The Senior Director of Internal Football Student-Athlete Operations plays a vital role in the holistic development of student-athletes (SA) in the football program. Under the direction of the Head Coach and in coordination with the Assistant AD for Student-Athlete Leadership and Development, this position is responsible for fostering academic success, community involvement, and personal and professional growth among football student-athletes. This role will collaborate with department units to implement programs and initiatives that support football student-athlete development, while also assisting with administrative and operational responsibilities related to football. Additional duties may include coordinating team schedules, compliance monitoring, and other responsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Two years of experience related to athletic administration.
Experience with Internal relations for football.
Experience with daily practice and annual planning.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines and work effectively with frequent interruptions.
Demonstrated ability to utilize good judgement in the interpretation and application of policies, and procedures.
Ability to exercise discretion in confidential matters.
Demonstrated problem solving skills and a solution-focused approach to challenges and improvements.
Excellent computer skills including MS Office Suite, Outlook, Google, Teams, etc.
Knowledge and commitment to NCAA and conference rules and regulations.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Prior experience in football operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Serves as the primary point of contact to athletics academics and compliance for football for NCAA, MAC, and university policies, rules, and regulations.
Serves as the primary point of contact for all football student-athlete leadership and development initiatives.
Leads, organizes, and serves as primary contact for student-athlete mentoring program.
Coordinates football related external relations (campus, community, alumni, high schools) with the Sr Director of Football External Relations and the General Manager for Football.
Organizes high school football relations in all matters related to high school coach contacts and other applicable organizations.
Serves as the secondary contact for player scouting and NFL Liaison, NFL Combine and pro days.
Assists with the coordination of daily practice schedules and yearlong team schedules as needed.
Assists with new hire onboarding by informing new coaches and staff of football student-athlete development initiatives.
Assists with the coordination of football fall camp and summer camp organization and family activity coordination.
Performs supervisory responsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach.
Performs other duties as assigned.
