JOB DESCRIPTION
Classification: Non-Exempt
Department: Administration
Reports to: Executive Assistant
Summary/Objective
This is a highly visible role in greeting clients and visitors. This role is also responsible for answering a multi-line phone system, taking messages, routing calls, sorting and distributing mail, and operating various office machines.
Essential Functions

- Greet clients and visitors with a positive, helpful attitude.
- Assist clients in finding their way around the office.
- Answer phones in a professional manner, routing calls as necessary.
- Assist with various administrative tasks, including copying, faxing, proofreading, labeling, and e-filing.
- Coordinate conference room scheduling.
- Prepare and maintain meeting spaces.
- Assist colleagues with administrative tasks.
- Sort and distribute mail.
- Order and maintain kitchen supplies.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be in an office environment.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Travel
Travel is uncommon for this position and is not to be expected.
Required Education and Experience
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field is an asset.
- Two years prior experience as a receptionist or in a related field.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Consistent, professional dress and manner.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with administrative and clerical procedures.
- Able to contribute positively as a part of a team, helping out with various tasks as required
- Must have and maintain a valid Mississippi driver's license.
