What are the responsibilities and job description for the Healthcare Advocate position at Central Missouri Community Action?
Healthcare Advocate needed in Columbia. Will be responsible for providing information, application assistance and healthcare enrollment assistance to members seeking health care coverage through the Department of Social Services - Medicaid Expansion program, other Medicaid programs, or Marketplace on Healthcare.gov. In addition, this position is responsible for conducting public education activities designed to raise awareness about the Medicaid Expansion program in Missouri, as well as to recruit eligible customers to obtain healthcare coverage. Pay is $19 / hour.
Job Requirements:
- Prefer associate degree or bachelors degree in related field.
- Prefer one year of professional experience working with similar job functions in direct customer service.
- Prefer work experience in the financial sector of banking, lending, insurance, investments, etc.
- Prefer experience in a human/social service, public health, or health care organization
