About Central Moloney : CMI is an ISO 9001certified company that manufactures distribution transformers and transformer components. For 40 years it has led the industry with innovative products that improve the quality and reliability of electrical power equipment. In the mid1980s CMI was the first to introduce thermoplastic primary and secondary bushings to the transformer industry. The success of these bushings led to a complete transformation of these products utilizing advanced thermoplastic technology.
About the Role : The Senior Lead Toolmaker is responsible for designing programming building and repairing molds and components essential to our production processes. This role requires a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in CNC programming and toolmaking who can work independently on complex tasks and manage multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Serve as a Lead Toolmaker and CNC Programmer for tooling projects.
- Build new molds and perform maintenance and repairs on existing molds.
- Set up program and operate CNC mills and lathes and run EDM machines.
- Utilize Mastercam software for CAD programming and CNC operations.
- Conduct teardown repair and preventive maintenance on molds.
- Operate manual machines including surface grinders as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accuracy and precision in all work.
- Create electrodes for burning mold cavities ensuring detailed and accurate work.
