Job Summary:
Central Montana Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Radiation Therapist to join our radiation oncology treatment team. As an essential member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and safe radiation therapy to patients under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing precise delivery of prescribed radiation therapy using complex techniques and equipment
- Operating machines such as linear accelerators to deliver concentrated radiation therapy to tumor regions
- Maintaining daily records and documenting technical details of treatment administered
- Understanding use of all treatment accessories and maintaining a thorough knowledge of CT Simulation techniques
- Coordinating with radiation oncologists and physics staff to ensure proper positioning and measurements for planning and calculations
- Utilizing therapy treatment equipment and being familiar with emergency shutdown procedures, warm-up procedures, and usage
- Able to complete patient setup, calculations, and treatment on an emergency basis
- Assisting in general radiology during downtime by performing X-ray and CT procedures
