The Radiation Therapist plays a critical role on CMMC's radiation oncology treatment team, ensuring accurate delivery of prescribed radiation therapy using advanced techniques and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver radiation therapy under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist, utilizing linear accelerators and other complex equipment.
- Perform procedures on diverse patient populations, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Maintain accurate records of treatment administered and technical details.
- Develop in-depth knowledge of CT Simulation techniques.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists and physics staff to ensure proper positioning and measurements.
- Familiarize oneself with treatment equipment, including functions, emergency shutdown procedures, and usage.
- Complete patient setup, calculations, and treatment as needed.
- Assist in general radiology during downtime, performing X-ray and CT scans.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.
- State of Montana Licensure.
- Registered ARRT.
- CPR Certification.
- Prior experience preferred.
