Location: Van Wert, OHThe Treasury Analyst plays a key role in managing premiums receivable, agency commissions, and critical account reconciliations. This position is also responsible for maintaining the cash forecasting model, overseeing unclaimed property administration, and assisting in continued development of the Treasury function. Assist with the direction and management of all process related to the billing system, premiums receivable, agency commissions, cash processing, and agency bill processes. Ensure timely and accurate entries and full reconciliation of accounts for all premium receivable and commission accounts. Monitor and maintain primary and compensating controls for all cash receivable processes
Support the Treasury team including but not limited to: administration of the Agency Bill process, agency bill support accounts receivable reconciliation, coordination between customer service and projects, disaster recovery testing
Cash Management and miscellaneous banking responsibilities as assigned
Bank Reconciliation Preparation and Support
Proper administration of software systems
Research and monitor statutory and regulatory changes
Effectively and efficiently coordinate and manage financial systems, entries and controls related to accounts payable processes,
Compliance with statutory accounting guidelines, tax authority requirements and NACHA/PCI payment requirements
Administration of Escheats software, including filings and submissions to the various states
Maintain adequate financial controls for all accounting responsibilities
Timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly and annual technical accounting responsibilities
Develop strong and meaningful relationships within the Corporate Accounting team, across the organization, and with our corporate partners
Participate in project work, occasionally leading non-complex projects and project teams
Develop documentation of the theories and reasoning for current processes
Foster a team mentality by supporting and mentoring other positions within the Corporate Accounting department
Focus on proactive customer service to both internal and external customers
Identify & implement process changes or improvements that lead to cost savings and/or efficiencies
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related field and 2 years of experience in treasury or finance
Or 4 years of experience in treasury or finance
Possesses analytical and problem-solving skills
Possesses verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence skills
Possesses multi-tasking and prioritization skills
Ability to understand Central Insurance’s policies and processes
Possesses excellent communication and presentation skills
Preferred
Insurance industry experience preferred
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Access and analytics software (i.e. Power BI)
Possesses analytical and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to perform project work and lead a project team
