About the Position
We are seeking a licensed psychologist to join our multidisciplinary treatment team at our secure forensic inpatient hospital. The successful candidate will have experience working with adults and adolescents in a clinical setting and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
Conduct diagnostic, cognitive, and violence/suicide risk assessments; provide individual and group therapy sessions; develop and implement positive behavior support and treatment plans; participate in research projects and training activities; and work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
Requirements
Doctoral degree in psychology, with licensure to practice in the state of New York; experience working in a clinical setting, preferably in a forensic or psychiatric hospital; excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations and multidisciplinary teams; and strong assessment and treatment planning skills, with experience conducting diagnostic, cognitive, and violence/suicide risk assessments.
