What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staffing Coordinator Full-Time position at Central Nursing?
The Staffing Coordinator oversees all events and activities related to the work schedules of the employees in the facility. The Staffing Coordinator works closely with the Nursing Department to create and develop a full effective schedule for the facility. The facility staff rely on the Staffing Coordinator to respond to their staffing needs, manage their time off and fairly and efficiently create a working schedule for the facility.
Staffing Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Create completed monthly schedule for nursing employees according to facility needs and budget
- Use company software to effectively and consistently create schedule according to facility needs and budget
- Report open shifts to HR and Administration for hiring purposes
- Manage employee vacations, FMLA Leave, PTO, Sick, and Light Duty in the monthly schedule
- Fill open shifts in the daily schedule as a result of call-outs or no call no show
- Track absences, lateness, call-outs and no call no shows and report to the Director of Nursing for disciplinary action if necessary
- Provide daily reports to Administration with number of employees who worked each day
- Perform other related job duties as required
Staffing Coordinator Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent
- 2 years of office experience, preferably in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Scheduling experience preferred
