SUMMARY:
Responsible for routine work in caring for and the maintenance of school grounds.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following...
- To trim shrubbery and to maintain shrubs and flower beds.
- To mow, seed, and fertilize lawns.
- To operate a variety of automotive and landscaping equipment.
- To assist with custodial duties, carpentry, repair of landscaping equipment, and painting.
- To perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - High school diploma or GED equivalency is required.
- Ability to follow rough sketches and oral instruction.
- Knowledge of methods and equipment in the care or maintenance of school grounds and/or the ability to be trained in the area of landscape maintenance.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Demonstrates command of Standard English.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Work involves operation of landscaping equipment and physical tasks.
- Above-average amount of walking, bending, standing, stooping, and lifting in work environment.

- 260 day contract

- Performance on this job will be evaluated in accordance with school board policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of personnel.
Salary : $14 - $16
