What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer Coach-(SY24-25) position at Central Office (District)?
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Scitaute Public Schools is seekng a dedicated and skilled Volunteer Coaches.
ESSENTIAL DUITES & RESPONSIBILITES:
- Help instruct and demonstrate skill sets and techniques necessary for individual and team achievement
- Help teach and improve student athletes the fundamentals and principles of athletics
- Help develop appropriate training programs and practice schedules
- Helps with the proper cleaning, storage, and maintenance of all athletic equipment and uniforms
- Helps analyze the strengths and weaknesses of individual athletes and opposing team
- Helps provides direction, encouragement, and motivation to prepare athletes for games
- Helps plan and direct physical conditioning programs that enable athletes to achieve maximum performance
- Helps instruct athletes on proper techniques, game strategies, sportsmanship, and rules of th egame
- Ensure that medical and safety requirements are adhered to
- Attends all training and staff meetings, as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- CPR certified or willingness to obtain certification prior to starting position
- Previous coaching experience and participation in a college or high school sports program
