What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian - Evening position at Central Office?
The Gasconade County R-1 School District is looking for a custodian to join our team! This position is for the evenings (3:00 pm to 11:00 pm), Monday through Friday. Gasconade County R-1 offers a competitive salary as well as a full benefit package including vacation, employee-paid healthcare, and a retirement plan (with required years of service). Salary is commensurate with experience.
Our custodians perform a variety of services that maintain an attractive, sanitary and safe facility for students, staff and the public. This position will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing areas throughout the buildings including but not limited to restrooms, offices, hallways, classrooms, breakrooms, multipurpose rooms and outside areas. Will also provide and arrange equipment and furniture, etc. for meetings, classroom activities and events; minimizing property damage, loss and liability exposure; and ensuring that assigned tasks are completed in a safe, proper and timely manner.
In this position, you may assist with loading and unloading trucks and/or trailers (e.g. supplies, materials, equipment, etc.). This position will require standing or walking for 8 hours at a time, lifting/moving or pulling materials (approximately 50 lbs) on a regular basis and ability to work with a variety of cleaning products.
