Job Description: MTSS Teacher
Position Overview:
The MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Support) Teacher is a full-time Administrative role at Reaching All Minds Academy (RAMA). The MTSS Teacher will report directly to RAMA’s Director of Student Services and work directly with the K-8 Instructional Team. The MTSS Teacher will work collaboratively with school staff, administration, and families to develop and implement effective interventions and strategies to support the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success of all students. The MTSS Teacher will focus on providing targeted instruction and support to students who are identified as needing additional assistance beyond the core curriculum. This position will be a full-time position (45 hours per week). The MTSS Teacher will be required to be at RAMA Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

Core Responsibilities:
- Implement MTSS Framework: Lead the development and implementation of the Multi-Tiered System of Support framework, including Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 interventions.
- Student Assessment: Conduct assessments to identify students' strengths and areas of need, using data to inform instruction and intervention strategies.
- Targeted Instruction: Provide direct instruction to students in need of Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions, focusing on academic, behavioral, and social-emotional supports.
- Collaborative Planning: Work closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other specialists to design and implement individualized intervention plans.
- Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure student success.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in MTSS and evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Family Engagement: Communicate regularly with families about student progress, providing guidance on how they can support their child's learning at home.
- Data Analysis: Analyze school-wide data to identify trends and areas of need, supporting the continuous improvement of the MTSS framework.
- Compliance: Ensure all interventions and practices comply with state and federal regulations, as well as district policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Valid North Carolina teaching license.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience; experience with MTSS, or similar frameworks.
- Strong understanding of MTSS frameworks and tiered intervention strategies.
- Excellent assessment and data analysis skills.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized intervention plans.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Commitment to equity and inclusion in education.
- Able to lift and carry materials (up to 20 pounds) and ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
