The School Boards of the Nodaway Valley Community School District, Greenfield, Iowa, and the CAM Community School District, Anita, Iowa are seeking a highly qualified, fully certified, educational leader to serve as Superintendent of Schools. The Board wishes to have the successful candidate assume the responsibilities of the position, July 1, 2025.

McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C., Executive Recruitment and Development, has been engaged as the consultant in a search for outstanding candidates. They will assist the School Board in identifying and screening the candidates.

Enrollment:

Nodaway Valley CSD - 665 students;

CAM CSD - 448;

Connections Academy - 1,200 students

Location: 60 miles West of Des Moines

The candidate must have the background, skills, and abilities essential for excellence in educational leadership. The Board recognizes that selecting a superintendent is one of the most important decisions it will make. The Board developed the following:

Experience and Expertise

• Board and Community Relations: Experienced in working with school boards, staff, and community members to build productive and cooperative relationships.
• School Finance and Budget Management: Skilled in maximizing funding, managing tight budgets, and ensuring long-term financial stability.
• Facilities Planning and Oversight: Understands long-term infrastructure needs and can navigate past facility challenges and bond issues.
• Staff Recruitment and Retention: Implements strategies to attract and retain high-quality educators in a competitive rural market.

 Search Timeline: 

• Closing date for applications: March 19, 2025 (11:30 p.m. central time)
• Board selects finalists to interview: March 31, 2025
• Interviews: April 7, 2025
• Selection of new Superintendent: April 7, 2025
