TITLE: Videographer
REPORTS TO: Communication Specialist

Performs specialized, professional, technical work in video, audiovisual, photography, and multimedia production and editing of educational and informational television programming.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Capture high-quality photos and videos at district events, school programs, athletic games, and other activities.
- Plan and execute professional photo and video shoots for district marketing, social media, and internal communication.
- Edit and retouch images for promotional materials, publications, and websites.
- Film and produce engaging video content for social media, websites, and presentations.
- Edit videos using industry-standard software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.), adding graphics, captions, and background music as needed.
- Create highlight reels, event recaps, interviews, and promotional videos.
- Develop creative visual storytelling that aligns with the district’s brand and messaging.
- Set up and operate cameras, microphones, lighting, and other AV equipment for live-streaming school board meetings, football games, and special events.
- Ensure live broadcasts are high-quality and accessible to the community.
- Work closely with the Communications Director and team to ensure consistency in branding and messaging.
- Coordinate with school staff, teachers, and administrators to capture important moments.
- Manage content calendars for visual media projects.
- Maintain and organize photography and videography equipment.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with cameras, lighting, and other recording equipment.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and advancements in digital media.
- Performs related work as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Telecommunications or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in broadcasting, video, audiovisual, and/or multimedia production.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in basic camera operations and use of Non-Linear Editing Software: Adobe Premiere or Avid DV.
- LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and the school board. - PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, bend, and sometimes lift up to 50 pounds. Mobility skills are necessary to access a variety of work locations. - OTHER SKILLS
