What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Dietitian (Part Time) position at Central Ohio Nutrition Center?
This is a part time role. The Clinical Dietitian will counsel patients in weight loss ranging from the OPTIFAST program, to very low calorie diet food plans. You will work closely with our Clinical Director to help patients tackle their weight loss challenges and develop individualized plans. The Clinical Dietitian will emphasize lifestyle change, increased physical activity and healthy eating. This position offers an excellent opportunity for growth and feedback on our programs and processes. We are looking for energetic, friendly faces to take our patient experience to the next level.
Responsibilities:
- Provide weight loss and general nutritional counseling to patients
- Provide education, motivation and support to patients
- Emphasize lifestyle change, increased physical activity and healthy eating
- Work in both 1 on 1 and group sessions
- Separate maintenance counseling for those that have completed the initial program
- Effectively communicate with physicians, nurse practitioners and medical assistants
- Work with our Clinical Director to create meal plans and implement standard processes
- Track patient contact through our CRM
- Lead orientations to convert new patients
- Lead classes to help educate patients
Qualifications:
- Obtained a RD credential
- Fluency in Google Workplace Apps (or Microsoft Office Suite)
- Excellent communication skills
- High-level time management and organization
- Strong work ethic and performance standards
- An outgoing and energetic personality
Clinic hours include some evenings and weekends but can be flexible. An individualized work schedule and total weekly hours will be determined by the candidate and the Clinical Director.
