Physician - COPC Sport Spine and Joint - PMR or Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician

COPC Sport, Spine and Joint is seeking a PHYSICAL MEDICINE AND REHABILITATION PHYSICIAN and / or a PRIMARY CARE SPORTS MEDICINE PHYSICIAN on a full-time basis to care for a variety of acute musculoskeletal conditions at their Orthopedic Urgent Centers in Westerville and / or Reynoldsburg, Ohio.

We treat patients 12 years and older for any acute musculoskeletal injury with onsite diagnostic imaging to treat :

Sprains
Strains
Fractures (casting, splinting, minor reductions)
Sports-related medical issues

The Orthopedic Urgent Care is a part of the Central Ohio Primary Care Sports, Spine, and Joint office. We have multidisciplinary practices with physicians at different locations specializing in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Sport Medicine, and Pain Management. Our team provides consulting, testing, and specialized care for patients of all ages (pre-teen and up). We have athletic trainers, PAs, and NPs. Physical Therapy, x-ray, musculoskeletal ultrasound, casting, DME, electromyography, and interventional fluoroscopy and advanced diagnostics are available.

Qualifications :

Preferred candidates are board-certified Physicians with PMR or Family Medicine with Sports Medicine Fellowship Training, leadership experience, and a desire to practice in an urgent outpatient setting.

Proficient in clinical practice protocols and delivering primary care.

Ability to work under pressure.

Excellent communication, listening, and relationship-building skills.

Knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures used in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of common health problems.

Knowledge of safety and infection control practices and procedures.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Possesses a customer service-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities :

Direct patient care in a busy multidisciplinary care center specializing in non-operative but urgent orthopedics.

Orthopedic urgent care coverage, examinations, diagnostics, and treatment plans. Musculoskeletal ultrasound, casting / splinting, EMG, and fluoroscopic injections are all areas of opportunity.

Maintain accurate records of assessments, follow-up visits, evaluations, and referrals in EPIC EMR.

Compensation and Benefits :

Competitive compensation : Guaranteed salary first year with starting bonus and retention bonus the second year.

Shareholder status second year.

Voluntary 401K with matching 6% if you participate. Vested immediately.

Profit sharing of approximately 4.5% begins second year, if eligible.
