Central Ohio Primary Care is seeking a full time Senior Communications Specialist at our central business office in Westerville, OH. The Sr. Communications Specialist will be responsible for the development and delivery of internal and external communications, materials, and programs. This position will implement communication strategies, create engaging content for different healthcare audiences, and ensuring messaging is consistent across all platforms. This role includes leveraging internal and external communications, content marketing strategies, and identifying communication gaps, while also supporting crisis communication efforts. The specialist will collaborate across departments to maintain editorial standards and ensure clear, timely communication across all initiatives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Works with Director, Marketing & Communications and team to execute strategic communication plans.
- Writes, edits, reviews and enhances internal communication materials for various audiences. Ability to tailor content for various healthcare stakeholders, including patients, employees and physicians.
- Develops content for traditional and digital media outlets, ensuring consistency across channels. Utilizes search engine optimization (SEO), social media, and content marketing strategies to optimize engagement and stay current with healthcare communication trends.
- Develops communication materials both proactively and upon request. Identifies communication gaps and opportunities and propose solutions and helps to connect and close any gaps.
- Works collaboratively with colleagues in Marketing & Communications and internal stakeholders to ensure an integrated, effective approach across all communications.
- Maintains consistent editorial and communications standards, branding, and guidelines.
- Supports the continuous improvement and execution of a healthcare crisis communication plan. Collaborates with Director and COPC leadership to ensure timely and transparent communication during a healthcare crisis, including issues related to patient safety, outbreaks, regulatory challenges, and emergencies.
- Perform other communications duties as assigned.
