Master’s Degree in Nursing. Recent clinical experience required.
Unencumbered Ohio RN license and a minimum of two years full-time working as a register nurse required; broad experience in medical surgical nursing required. Candidates must have broad base of clinical experience with significant work in a medical-surgical clinical environment; must have strong team-building and interpersonal skills and a willingness to implement a learner-centered approach to the teaching process; must be willing to use technology to facilitate student learning
Successful completion of a background check is required.
Successful completion of a drug screen is required.
Demonstrated:
In depth knowledge of the subject area to be taught.
Proficient in oral and written communication in the language in which assigned courses will be taught.
Ability to communicate effectively with and maintain positive working relationships with students, peers, supervisors, and staff.

Pediatric nursing experience
The faculty member is responsible for providing professional, quality work as a teaching faculty member. Work includes facilitating student learning by classroom and clinical instruction in nursing program as well as collaboration in assuring program accreditation standards, student recruitment, education standards, and smooth operational management for the nursing programs conducting and teaching; using active learning methods and a variety of instructional strategies designed to assist the learner in meeting the objectives of the course; assessing student learning; and providing academic assistance to students as needed.
