About The Role

In accordance with the philosophy of U.S Urology, the Radiology Manager will oversee the Radiology department to oversee direct care to patients, under the direct supervision of a physician.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provides radiology services by directing and coordinating the services of radiology and diagnostic imaging procedures; overseeing staff in operations of imagining equipment, such as X-ray machines, CT scanners or Ultrasound equipment.
  • Accomplishes radiology human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Meets radiology operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and patient-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.
  • Meets radiology financial standards by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; recommending corrective actions.
  • Supports patient care by resolving radiology issues with physicians, radiologists, radiology technologists, and ancillary staff; improving and maintaining quality assurance program for department functions
  • Improves quality results by evaluating accuracy and quality of images; providing technical assistance; implementing new techniques, equipment, and procedures.
  • Provides statistical reports by controlling the collection of treatment and clinical data
  • Provides a safe environment by monitoring radioactive exposure of staff and patients; keeping staff and patients safe, controlling radium loading and handling techniques; maintaining radium records.
  • Updates knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional standards, COUG policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Maintains functioning of the CT scanner – cleans equipment, performs QA as deemed necessary by governing entities such as OSHA, ARRT, and Ohio Department of Health
  • Participates in medical supply management – ordering all medical, surgical and any other pertinent supplies related to the operations of Central Ohio Urology Group
  • Assists in documentation of inventory
  • Attends required in-service training (OSHA, HIPPA)
  • Performs other duties as assigned

What We Expect From You

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program with board certification in CT
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Previous Supervisory experience
  • Possess ability to make decisions based on established policies and procedures
  • Electronic Medical Records Experience

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have thorough knowledge in computer information systems.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
