Role of Department:
The overarching purpose of COIC's transportation program is to strengthen regional transportation services and infrastructure through the development and implementation of regionally-based transportation plans, administration and operations, service coordination, and project development. A regional approach to transportation enhances efficiencies among transportation organizations and ensures regional connectivity for Central Oregon's residents, businesses, and visitors.
Job Purpose:
Provide programmatic support and assist in project coordination and support functions for Cascades East Transit (CET) programs activities within the Central Oregon region.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED
High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 4 years of work experience performing administrative work and project support, or comparable work; or an equivalent combination of education and comparable work experience.Physical Requirements:
Mobility to work in a typical office setting, use standard office equipment and to drive a motor vehicle in order to visit bus stops and work sites; some walking, standing, stooping, occasional lifting up to 20 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone.

Work Environment:
Standard office work environment with regular travel to other locations weekly, or as needed.

- Conduct research and report writing for CET as directed
- Meeting and logistical support, including scheduling and attending meetings and preparation of meeting minutes
- Provide staff support to CET committees, or other meetings as needed
- Travel to various building locations or sites to perform tasks such as, but not limited to, providing meeting support, updating rider guides and bus stop schedules, performing community outreach at businesses, and attending events
- Attendance of occasional events in evenings and on weekends
- Provide programmatic and administrative support such as, but not limited to placing phone calls, writing documents, reviewing data, creating presentations, etc.
- Creating and maintaining detailed and accurate spreadsheets
- Effectively communicate with partners, government, and community organization staff
- Complete filing, record keeping with a high level of detail and organization
- Assist in developing, tracking, and implementing Standard Operating Procedures within CET
- Assist with outreach and communication to the community for active projects
- Assist in the development of and monitoring of project budgets and tasks
- Assist in handling fares including accurate and honest accounting
- Develop and maintain effective, harmonious, and reasonable work relationships with others.
- Maintain regular and predictable work attendance in accordance with COIC policies.

- Ability to plan for effective use of time in support of a variety of projects and programs
- Must be able to transcribe and type a variety of materials from a variety of sources
- Must maintain client and agency confidentiality
- Must have a valid driver license and access to a vehicle or equivalent means of transportation
- Must pass a criminal background check
