Central Ozarks Medical Center (COMC) is excited to announce an opening for a Human Resource Coordinator! COMC is a Missouri non-profit, federally qualified health center that has served Pulaski, Laclede, Camden and Miller counties for over 40 years. Responsibilities : The Human Resources Coordinator serves as a supportive role that assists in running the daily administrative functions of the Human Resource (HR) department. Must operate with a high level of professionalism and discretion, in keeping with organizational values. Requires a high level of organization, initiative, and attention to detail.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Prepares new hire onboarding folders and benefits packets, and tracks completion of necessary paperwork and hiring requirements.
  • Forwards new hire paperwork, Pre-Employment drug screen / physical forms to new hires
  • Collects completed new hire paperwork and credentialing documentation as directed.
  • Assists in scheduling and coordinating new hire start dates with appropriate members of COMC staff

and leadership.

  • Prepares Personnel Action / Termination Forms for new and existing employees for department managers
  • Completes all background checks, pre-employment reference checks, drug screens / fit-for-duty screens, and E-Verify I9s.
  • Responsible for job postings, scheduling interviews, preparing interview packets, and the hiring process.
  • Assists with applicant interviews as required.
  • Oversees Key Card and alarm system administration (assign, activate, deactivate)
  • Employee ID Badge printing for new and existing team members.
  • Enrolls clinical staff in NPDB poral. Pulls NPDB and OIG reports for clinical staff.
  • Maintains Orientation Power Point presentation- updates slides as needed. Runs slide show during Orientation training and coordinates times with presenting leadership members.
  • Enters, maintains, and updates employee information (including employee addresses and contact information) in all systems / portals.
  • Enters and updates employee data in the training system, assigns out pre-approved training plans as appropriate. Assists in tracking employee training status.
  • Manages employee HSA account enrollment and documentation collection process in coordination with Maries County Bank. Maintains HSA account and contribution tracking, sends to Finance for Payroll processing each month.
  • Assist with payroll notes and documentation collection and filing
  • Responsible for maintaining personnel files. Scan, File, and organize employee files (in both paper and electronic format) and other confidential documents.
  • Develop and maintain various logs and other record-keeping systems related to assigned functions.
  • Process employment verification requests from 3rd
  • Assists department management with scheduling and tracking of employee evaluations (45 / 90 day, annual, and quarterly one-on-ones).
  • Coordinates student clinical rotations with the student, the school, and COMC operations department. Collects and files all required student documentation.
  • Assists in employee recognition and engagement initiatives (birthdays, anniversaries, spotlights, etc.)
  • Assists with company event planning as needed.
  • Assists staff with daily HRIS and Training system issues, login assistance, password resets, etc.
  • Assists with credentialing process for providers and clinical staff as directed.
  • Assist in day-to-day human resources duties as directed.
  • Comply with all company policies, state and federal regulations, and adhere to standards related to confidentiality of information and records.
  • Pulls reports as directed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications Requirements : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.

    Knowledge of

  • Human Resources processes and regulations, including principles and procedures for personnel onboarding, training, and benefits, and maintaining HR information systems and personnel files.
  • Administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Must be organized, accurate, thorough and able to prioritize tasks and use time efficiently.
  • Must possess a high level of discretion and respect for the rights and confidentiality of others.
  • Education and / or experience : Minimum of a High School diploma required. Associates degree or higher in business and / or Human Resources or related field preferred. One year of human resources experience preferred.

    Language Skills : Communicating effectively in conversation and writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and regulatory agencies. Ability to effectively present information to top management. Excellent customer service skills.

    Mathematical and Reasoning Skills : Basic math and accounting concepts. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Using logic and reasoning to identify solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

    Other Skills and Abilities : Excellent customer service skills.

  • Physical Demands : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This includes moderate physical effort consisting of occasionally lifting or moving over 35 pounds of weight.

    Travel Requirement : To fulfill the responsibility of the position travel to all COMC locations will be required. Employee should have valid Missouri drivers license. Overnight travel may also be required in specific incidences of training, conferences, etc.

    Work Environment : The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Knowledge of, and compliance with, HIPAA and 340B regulations is required. Confidentiality of patient and employee information is mandatory.
