Position Function:
As an Intern at Central Pacific Bank, you will be responsible for working with different lines of business to gain relevant work experience in various areas. The Intern will be able to supplement their education with actual hands-on experience in the financial services industry. The position will offer Interns meaningful and practical work that allows them to build their knowledge, skills, and experience. The internship will commence June 5th, 2025, and conclude August 1st, 2025.

Duties:
- Work with managers to develop a project plan to be worked on throughout the duration on the internship.
- Participate in on-the-job training in an assigned department.
- Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to complete assignments and keep tasks on schedule.
- Actively participate in department meetings and projects.
- Gain exposure to the business environment.
- Perform operational and administrative functions and gain professional experience and exposure in the field of study.
- Work with department leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Participate in program activities, learning opportunities, and other assigned duties to gain on-the-job experience to advance personal and professional development.
- Gain exposure to different career opportunities while working with other teammates and managers.
- Fulfill program requirements through communication projects, corporate events and training, and community activities.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- H.S. Diploma required.
- Must be enrolled as a student in a four-year degree program at an accredited college or university or in a two-year program, intending to transfer to a four-year program.
- Candidate must be in good standing (minimum GPA of 3.0 at time of application).
Experience:
- Prior experience through coursework, volunteering, school/student activities, club leadership roles, or part-time work.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Must be able to perform light physical work and to move or lift items including but not limited to boxes, files and papers up to 20 pounds unless otherwise as indicated.
- Must be able to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer and/or other work related mechanical or electronic devices and applications.
- Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.
- Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents.
- Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time. Must also be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.
