What are the responsibilities and job description for the Monitor Tech position at Central Peninsula General Hospital?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Intensive Care Monitor Technician through communication, requisitioning and management of supplies and equipment, coordinates the activities of the nursing staff, the patient, the physician and other hospital departments and visitors. He/she performs general receptionist, clerical and support duties in order to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit. Cardiac Monitoring is the primary role of the technician, close attention to cardiac rhythms with accurate interpretation and notification to the nursing staff when concerns arise.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of Basic Cardiac Rhythm interpretation course within 6 months of employment
