What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Director - Med Surg position at Central Peninsula General Hospital?
This position is eligible for $25,000 relocation assistance, great benefits, and a CRITICAL POSITION BONUS equal to $10,000!
POSITION SUMMARY: The Nurse Director plans, directs, supervises, and participates in the activities of the Medical-Surgical department to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role integrates and promotes department activities with other hospital departments, community healthcare professionals, and the public. The Nurse Director collaborates with the Nursing Administration Team to provide principled leadership by defining and interpreting nursing department goals and aligning nursing's role with the hospital's overall mission. Additionally, the Nurse Director oversees and may directly provide patient care to support departmental needs and maintain the highest standards of clinical excellence.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of Acute Care - Nursing experience
- 2 years of Med Surg Director experience
- State of Alaska RN Licensure
- BLSP from the American Heart Association
- ACLS from the American Heart Association
- PALS from the American Heart Association within 6 months of hire
