What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiology Tech I position at Central Peninsula General Hospital?
POSITION SUMMARY: The Radiographer performs diagnostic examinations on patients as ordered by the provider and directed by the radiologist. To obtain examinations of the highest quality, this staff member routinely utilizes a high level of clinical expertise and problem solving in the x-ray modality. Determines appropriate views for ordered examination following established protocols for each study and reviews images for clarity and accuracy to assure the radiologist is able to clearly visualize the area of concern. Able to determine appropriateness of providers order in relationship to patients clinical signs and symptoms. The Radiographer maintains a positive customer service attitude when performing all duties. Conducts self in a professional and courteous manner during all customer interactions. Accepts personal responsibility for professional practice by adhering to standards of the profession. Carries out all responsibilities in line with the organization’s mission, vision and values.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology
- ARRT within one year of employment
- BLSP within 30 days of employment
PREFERRED
- One year Imaging Radiography experience.
